Administrative Assistant

Indeterminate appointment.

Full time 37.5 hours / week.

Level 4 - Salary range: from $39,110 to $47,168 per annum.

Unionized position – P.S.A.C.

Your Challenge:

The Public Affairs Department is currently looking for a dynamic individual who will assume the administrative support at an executive level to the Director of Public Affairs. You will work on various projects related to public affairs as well as organizing the Department’s activities. You will coordinate committee meetings, prepare briefing material and take minutes. You will also facilitate communications between the Director and her Department, and other departments. You will provide administrative, and project research, maintain a filing system and budget management support to the Director, and perform other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

As the ideal candidate you have a post-secondary secretarial or administrative diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Extensive recent work experience in administrative assistance at an executive level. Experience in communications or a public relations environment. You must work well under pressure and without supervision. Tact and discretion are essential. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, strong time management and excellent organizational skills. The individual should be self-motivated, flexible, acts with discretion and confidentiality, customer oriented and team player. Demonstrated proficiency in the use office productivity software such as Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/COMMENTS:

Knowledge of both English and French is essential (CCC/CCC).
