YES, MINISTER: REVAMPED SITE FULL OF FINLEY / ALLAN THOMPSON / TORONTO STAR

LAST CALL FOR APPLICATIONS / TORONTO STAR
Seven years ago, the Star launched a unique experiment in trying to reach out to residents in the Greater Toronto Area who feel their opinions and concerns are rarely reflected on our pages. To address this concern, the Star created the all-volunteer Community Editorial Board. Since it began, the board has become a vital part of the Star's
efforts to better understand the many ethnic and cultural groups that comprise the world's most diverse metropolitan area. The 12 members are chosen to reflect, as much as possible, a cross-section of regional, ethnic, religious, political and occupational groups in the GTA, including native-born Canadians and new immigrants. Also, the members will be readers who do not normally get the chance to express their views to leading newspaper editors, columnists and reporters. They will also have a wide interest in issues and challenges facing not only the Toronto area, but the province and the country.
