1.- Día Internacional de la Poesía (UNESCO) ¡Hola a todos! Ésta es una invitación para quienes quieran acompañarnos a celebrar el Día Internacional de la Poesía el próximo martes 21 de marzo aquí en Ottawa. Estamos organizando una lectura abierta de poesía y prosa a partir de las 18: 30 en Urban Well, 244 Laurier Ave. Est esq. Nelson. Ya están confirmados los siguientes autores:

3.- TORNEO DE FUTBOL.Tenemos el gusto de transmitir la siguiente invitación: El equipo de fútbol (soccer) Sporting México invita al inicio de prácticas para la temporada de verano, las cuales se llevarán a cabo los miércoles (con excepción del 15 de marzo por el "March break"). Las prácticas empiezan el 8 de marzo, de 20:00 a 22:00 hrs., en la escuela Rockliff Park Public School, en 350 Buenvista Road. Ven y apoya al equipo de tu comunidad. Para esta temporada solo se registrará un equipo, masculino, categoría abierta, sin límite de edad.

4.-OTTAWA JAZZ FESTIVAL. Concierto de la Diva Descalza CESAREA EVORA www.ottawajazzfestival.com los boletos cuestan $37.50, y $25.00 estudiantes, cupo limitado. El concierto se llevara a cabo en la Iglesia Dominion Chalmers United Church, 355 Cooper Street, el Domingo 9 de Abril de 2006 a las 7:30 de la noche. 5. FABULOSA PELICULA LATINA EN EL BYTOWN. Del Director Mexicano Guillermo Arriaga (amores perros). Tommy Lee Jones’ thoroughly impressive big-screen directing debut, scripted by Guillermo Arriaga (Amores Perros, 21 Grams), is an elegiac modern Western about the profound, but fleeting, friendship that develops between West Texas rancher Pete Perkins (Jones) and the eponymous, undocumented Mexican ranch hand (Julio Cesar Cedillo) who, soon after the film begins, turns up dead from a mysterious gunshot wound. As the title implies, Melquiades Estrada’s journey to his desired final resting place won’t be a peaceful one, and as he is successively exhumed and re-interred, Three Burials takes on some of the macabre absurdity of Sam Peckinpah’s Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.
